Boulder City home inspector finds defective plumbing
Boulder City home inspector affirms a defective plumbing system installed during a Boulder City home inspection. Dezincification can lead to, among other things, restricted water flow and an increased likelihood of the brass fitting leaking or breaking. One way of determining if the home is plumbed with this product is to check the electrical panel for a bright yellow sticker which shows the Kitec name. However, many of these homes have already been re-plumbed, so confirmation is needed. A licensed plumbing specialist should be contacted to perform conclusive testing.
