Home Inspection Can Be Hazardous
Submitted by DeanMcGlasson on Tue, 05/10/2011 - 21:32.In all the years of inspecting houses I’ve come across some pretty interesting things. Nothing is more heart pounding than an encounter with a dangerous animal, reptile or insect. Recently while inspecting a home for a newlywed couple, I came across something that made me gasp. At first I thought it was a large white plastic trash bag that the wind had blown into an irrigation valve box. A closer look revealed what turned out to be very large bee hive. Fortunately for me, these were not the Africanized variety, otherwise I might have been spending the next couples days in a bath filled with ice.
The new owners were relieved to know about this particular hazard prior to moving in. Your Las Vegas Home Inspector looks for signs of pest infestation around landscaping, exterior roof areas, in crawl spaces and inside the attic. Remember to "Bee Safe" out there!
